Michael Kloth photographs selected for two Tucson gallery exhibitions

TUCSON, Ariz., Nov. 6, 2026 — Photographs by Tucson artist Michael Kloth, MFA, CPP, have been selected for two group exhibitions opening Nov. 7 at Decode Gallery and Black Eyes Gallery.

Kloth’s photograph Confluence, from his Furscapes series, was selected for Square at Decode Gallery, 314 S. Convent Ave. The series examines animal coats at close range, drawing attention to the lines, textures and forms that emerge when fur is photographed outside the familiar context of the animal.

“Removed from the familiar context of the animal, fur becomes line, texture, movement and topography,” Kloth wrote in his statement about Furscapes.

At Black Eyes Gallery, Kloth’s photograph Glenda was selected for Conservation: what would you save? The juried group photography exhibition opens Nov. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 485 S. Stone Ave., Suite 1, as part of Barrio Viejo’s First Saturday Art Walk. The exhibition continues through Nov. 28.
