Creating Museum-Quality Fine Art Pet Portraits

I specialize in creating fine art portraits of your pets—photographs that capture their personality and presence in ways you'll value for years to come. I bring professional studio equipment to your location throughout the Tucson area, which means your pets stay comfortable in familiar surroundings while I create professional results.

My Approach

I've been photographing pets professionally since 2006, and I've spent nearly twenty years learning how animals communicate, what makes them comfortable, and how to capture authentic expressions rather than forced poses. My weekly volunteer work at Pima Animal Care Center and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona keeps these skills sharp—I photograph shelter animals who may be stressed or uncertain, and that experience translates directly to working with your pets.

I hold an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University, where I specialized in studio lighting. I'm also a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America. These credentials matter because they represent technical mastery and ongoing professional development—but what matters more is that I create photographs you'll treasure.

Portfolio Categories

Studio Portraits

I bring professional studio lighting and backdrops to your home. This approach combines the control and quality of studio photography with the comfort and convenience of your pet's familiar environment. Studio portraits emphasize your pet's features and personality through careful lighting and composition.

Around Town

I photograph your pets in outdoor locations throughout Tucson—parks, trails, desert landscapes, or urban settings. These environmental portraits show your pets in the places they love, capturing their energy and personality in natural settings.

People & Pets

These portraits include you with your pets, capturing the relationship between you. I direct the session to create natural interactions and genuine moments rather than stiff, formal poses.

Party Portraits

I photograph special events—birthday parties, adoption celebrations, or gatherings where pets are part of the occasion. These sessions document your celebration while creating portraits you'll keep long after the party ends.

Process & Pricing

Sessions begin with a consultation where I learn about your pets, discuss your vision, and answer your questions. I then schedule the session at a time that works for your schedule and your pets' routines.

During the session, I work at your pet's pace. Some dogs are ready to perform immediately; others need time to settle. I adjust my approach based on what I observe, which is why experience matters—I know when to push forward and when to pause.

After the session, I edit your images and present them through a private online gallery. You select the photographs you want, and I deliver high-resolution digital files or prints, depending on your preferences.

For detailed pricing information, contact me directly. Every project is different, and I prefer to discuss your specific needs rather than provide generic pricing that may not apply to your situation.

Service Areas

I serve Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Vail, and Catalina Foothills. If you're outside these areas, contact me—I'm often willing to travel for the right project.
